I have worked off a digital photo (iPhone X) of an original physical photo, as such much of the restoration was removing the light catch on a central fold in the photograph. I started this restoration by upscaing the image to increase the resolution, as well as de-noising and sharpening. The restored areas of the photo have been rebuilt using cloned original assets in order to maintain the tone of the original image and to try and combat the 'airbrushed' look that can result in a bad restoration. Once the restoration was finished I colourised the photo although a little artistic license was used as Hazel couldn't remember what colour their dresses were!
Hazel, the apparently terrible guitarist, is my mother and as such this restoration was a personal project and is not for sale.
